E3 2016 Day 3
Today is the day that E3 technically begins, with the show floor opening. The E3 show floor is an opportunity for developers and publishers to display and offer some hands-on experience for games that are in development (and occasionally already released).
Our day was packed solid with appointments to see some of our most anticipated games. These are the booths we visited and the games we got to play:
- Rebellion, Sniper Elite 4
- Ubisoft, Watch Dogs 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands
- Nexon America, Law Breakers
- Warner Bros., Injustice 2
- Xbox International After Hours Booth, Battlefield 1, Final Fantasy XV, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Dead Rising 4, Shiness: The Lightening Kingdom
Nic will be posting his hands-on impressions of these games soon. Stay tuned!
Rebellion, Sniper Elite 4
Out fist appointment of the day was to get some hands-on time with Sniper Elite 4. I also got a chance to play and enjoyed it. The development team was there, and they were helpful and very kind.
Ubisoft, Watch Dogs 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands
Our next appointment was at Ubisoft where Nic got some hands-on time with both Watch Dogs 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands. Nic and I also met Liam McIntyre, an actor from our favourite TV series of all time: Spartacus. He was a special Microsoft guest at E3 this year because he is the voice actor of JD Fenix in Gears of War 4.

Nexon America, Law Breakers
Next, we visited Nexon America for some hands-on Law Breakers gameplay. This is a fast-paced, symmetrical, multiplayer first person shooter.
Warner Bros., Injustice 2
Nic and I then headed to Warner Bros. to play Injustice 2. We had such a good time with it. Again, stay tuned for Nic’s full hands-on first impression.
Xbox International After Hours Booth, Battlefield 1, Final Fantasy XV, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Dead Rising 4, Shiness: The Lightening Kingdom
By the end of our Warner Bros. appointment, the show floor closed. We then waited outside the hall for the Xbox International After Hours event to begin. This was a catered and open bar event where international press could get a chance to play all games at the Xbox booth with shorter lines. It was fantastic! There was little wait time, and we got hands-on time with Battlefield 1, Final Fantasy XV, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Dead Rising 4, and Shiness: The Lightening Kingdom. Stay tuned for full first impressions of these games.
Overall, regarding food, we didn’t have time for breakfast so we snacked throughout the day at the booths we visited (no restaurant reviews today!). We left the Xbox International After Hours booth at 9:15 PM and headed back to our hotel. Tomorrow we have another full day and an early start so it’s off to bed! Thank you for reading today’s blog post!
