Microsoft announced that Gears of War 4 will be one of the first games to be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. This program allows you to play on either Xbox One or Windows 10 PC with the purchase of a single copy of the game. All progress and achievements will be linked/shared across both platforms.
Along with the Play Anywhere Program, it was also announced that Gears of War 4 will feature cross-play, allowing for players to party up for co-op, multiplayer as well as Horde mode cross platform.
A gameplayer trailer was revealed which showed off certain elements of the game. When your teammate AI identifies a sniper, they’re then tagged on the screen for you. A new weapon that launches bouncing buzzsaw blades was also shown off.
The game hits stores October 11, 2016 for Xbox One and PC along with a new Gears of War branded Xbox Elite controller.
