1. Nintendo booking plenty of floor space at E3… expect more than just Zelda
With Nintendo's giant E3 space nobody should have a problem playing Zelda…….. pic.twitter.com/cw65NRjR6W

With E3 on the horizon, people are starting to wonder what’s in store for us gamers from the big three gaming companies. Sony and Microsoft are unveiling details about the revisions of their current systems. Meanwhile, Nintendo has stated that they will not be showing off the NX console. They have indicated that they are only showing off one game – The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U. However, Nintendo has nearly just as much floor space booked as Sony does. What does this mean? Perhaps Nintendo has some surprises in store to shock the crowd… Either that or there will be no shortage of Zelda set ups for everyone to play. I’m a betting man, and I say there’s something they aren’t telling us. Let me know what you think it could be in the comments!
2. NX Rumours VR Integration
Nintendo announced the release date for the Nintendo NX console as March 2017. This delayed release date is rumoured to be because they wanted to integrate virtual reality (VR) into the system to gain advantages on the competition. The last time Nintendo did this was the Virtual Boy, which ultimately flopped. Is the world ready for another dose of virtual reality?
3. Dead Island 2 Steam Page Deleted, Cancellation Rumors Resurface
Are we getting Dead Island 2 or not? The development of this game keeps getting delayed. Recently a user on NeoGAF noticed the games Steam page has been deleted, with all of its tags and descriptions disappearing. The previous games have done exceptionally well, so it doesn’t make sense for it to be cancelled. It seems odd to cancel the game when they have just released the Dead Island: Definitive Collection just a few days ago. What gives?
4. Ubisoft is turning The Division into a Jake Gyllenhaal movie
The Division fans, rejoice! Ubisoft is looking to make their latest successful Tom Clancy title into a film, and Jake Gyllenhaal is on board as a lead and a producer. They are currently shopping the idea around Hollywood to see what companies would be interested in picking the idea up. This is all still very early, but things are looking very promising. With Ubisoft getting their Assassin’s Creed series movie debut later on this year, The Division seems like the next logical choice given its recent success.
5. Take-Two CEO – There is no Market for VR at the moment
In a recent interview, Strauss Zelnick (CEO of Take-Two) state what he thought of VR technology. “It’s way too expensive right now,” he says. “There is no market for a $2000 entertainment device that requires you to dedicate a room to the activity. I don’t know what people could be thinking. We don’t have something where you stand in a big open space and hold two controllers with something on your head— and not crash into the coffee table.” VR has begun to pick up attention again, but Zelnick makes some good points. It’s common for people to feel nauseated when it comes to VR technology, and you simply can’t play it for very long. VR technology is evolving and has gotten a lot better, so it will be interesting to see if it takes off. Perhaps something big at E3 in a just over a week from now?
I’ll see you next week with another edition of Speculation Station!
