Pokemon Sun & Moon Release Date – Starters & Legendaries Revealed!
Polish off those Pokeballs because Pokemon Sun and Moon has an official release date! The Pokemon Company announced today that the next generation of the worldwide phenomenon will be released on November 18 in the US and November 23 in the UK on Nintendo 3DS (dreams of a Wii U/NX version shattered) .
The news came alongside a quick two minute gameplay trailer which you can watch below.
Inside the trailer you get the first glimpse of the brand new starters for the unnamed Hawaiian themed region. Sun and Moon sticks with the same traditional elemental starters from previous games. Slight exception to Rowlet which has a fairly uncommon combination of Grass and Flying once exclusive to Tropius.
To be honest other than Litten, (get it Kitten?) these starters aren’t winning any Pokemon beauty pageant awards any time soon. However we all know final verdict on visual appeal is decided in the third stage of evolution (or Mega-Evolution).
You also get a look at the Legendaries that are exclusive to each respective game. No names yet!
The Pokemon Company also released an endearing live action commercial in Japan.
Gameplay wise the Sun and Moon trailer doesn’t offer up any distinguishing changes from Pokemon X&Y which released in October 2013. But E3 is just around the corner and we expect more news in the coming months.
